Clinical Psychologist

As an EMDR consultant, I offer EMDR consultation to therapists who have completed the standard EMDR training. Consultation can be provided in person or online and is usually on a monthly basis for about an hour.

In consultation, my role is to help the consultee understand the technical aspects of integrating EMDR into the overall formulation and therapy plan, and to enhance their understanding of the theoretical and practical applications of EMDR. This will also involve exploring and identifying any possible risks or contraindications for using EMDR at a particular time or in a particular situation, in order to enhance the therapy offered to the client and to ensure their welfare.  

As a consultant I am able to support consultees to become an Accredited EMDR Practitioner with the EMDR Association UK.

I have particular interest and expertise in EMDR for psychosis, assisting consultees to identify the unprocessed trauma memory networks underlying experiences such as voices or unusual and unshared beliefs. I am currently developing my expertise in Intensive EMDR, supervising a research project understanding therapist journeys to delivering intensive EMDR.
